Spring is here - a time to shake off our winter doldrums and try something new! Check out what our three branch libraries have to offer you coming up in April.

On Thursday April 5th, at the Hastings Branch, you are invited to join us for a Kombucha (fermented sweet tea) class at 7:00 p.m. Learn about the health benefits, how you can make it at home, and taste a sample. The following day, Friday, April 6th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., there will be a workshop on painting garden markers. Phone the library  (705-696-2111) for more information and to register.

The Warkworth branch has some exciting events lined up. On April 11th, there will be an Essential Oils Workshop starting at 5:30 p.m.  A Spring Cupcake Decorating Class will be held on Saturday, April 21st, from 10:30 to 12:00 noon and should be yummy! For both events, please phone the Warkworth library to register. 705-924-3116. Ongoing programs include Needlework on the last Wednesday of every month from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Reading Buddies every Tuesday, starting at 3:30 p.m.

The Campbellford branch is also starting some new programs. Kids, come and practice your reading with “Tanker” the dog on Mondays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. For the adults, a knitting group beginning on April 27th will meet Friday mornings from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m. Bring your unfinished project with you or be a beginner. For both programs, please phone the Campbellford Branch at 705-653-3611 to register.

*Also, Campbellford Branch’s winter hours will end on March 31st. Regular hours resume on Tuesday April 3rd.*

Happy Easter!
