There’s something new and exciting planned for the Trent Hills Library - a first ever “Library Road Trip”! On Friday, June 1st, the bus leaves the Campbellford branch at 12:30 p.m. for a tour of all three of Trent Hills’ library branches. Register for this tour at the Campbellford branch.

On June 7th, at the Campbellford branch, the True North Daylilies will give a talk on gardening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. No registration is required. On Saturday, June 9th, the Friends of the Campbellford library will be holding their annual book sale, with a huge selection of books, DVDs, and more!

At the Hastings branch, computer classes are being given on May 9th and 23rd and on June 6th and 20th.The classes have been popular and filled up quickly. We will look at repeating the series in the fall. For the fourth year, Hastings library will be holding a trunk sale to take place on Saturday, May 19th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Spots are $10 and may be booked by phoning the Hastings library at 705-696-2111. Also for the months of May and June, there will be a “seed share”. If you have extra seeds you don’t need, bring them in for others to use. If you see something you need for your garden, you are welcome to take something home.

Warkworth branch has lots going on this month. On May 9th, at 6:00 p.m., there will be a meeting for anyone interested in forming a “Friends of the Warkworth Library” group. This is a great opportunity to promote your library, organize fund raisers and special projects and have fun at the same time. On Saturday, May 12th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., there are Mother’s Day activities, including a special planting project, and stories for the kids. All welcome! Then on May 25th and 26th, there will be a giant book sale. Come and stock up on summer reading materials. Finally, on June 23rd, there is a Card Making Workshop planned.
