Good Reads Collection

Trent Hills Public Library has a special collection: Good Reads Books – short, easy to read books for adults and seniors. These books are written by bestselling Canadian authors that have a special talent to tell a great story, using clear language.

The Good Reads Collection is primarily made up of Hi-lo books – titles that are interesting to an adult at a comparatively low reading level with simple vocabulary and syntax, short chapters, a slim page count, and gripping storylines. Hi-lo books can be used to help struggling and/or reluctant readers to strengthen decoding and comprehension skills, build confidence, and spark a love of reading.
